A patient who received a Stryker hip replacement discovered the device’s pieces were improperly matched only after receiving revision surgery to fix hip implant side effects. Dale Kramer has filed a Stryker hip replacement lawsuit against the company after suffering pain and instability from the faulty hip device.
According to Kramer, the parts to the Stryker hip replacement were misleading, and though the company acknowledged the possible confusion, it did not inform doctors. Studies have found the Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II hip replacements fail at higher rates than expected.
Metal-on-metal hip replacement side effects have come to the forefront after companies including Stryker released products that many patients allege are defective. Stryker issued a hip replacement recall in response to patients coming forward with hip implant side effects, including tissue damage, fretting and toxic levels of metal in the bloodstream.
